About the Course
The CIArb Kenya Branch invites you to attend the upcoming Introduction to Arbitration and ADR Course, scheduled for 6th & 7th August 2025. This two-day course provides a comprehensive overview of the general principles and practices of arbitration and other key forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Course Format & Materials
The course will be delivered virtually, combining live lectures, interactive discussions, and scenario-based learning. Participants will actively engage with practical case scenarios, enhancing their understanding of real-world ADR applications.
- Soft copy notes will be provided to registered and fully paid participants two weeks before the course starts.
- Hard copy notes are available on request, with additional charges for postage or courier services.
Assessment and Certification
Following the course, participants will complete an online multiple-choice assessment via LearnADR, CIArb’s dedicated learning platform.
- Duration: 28 days to complete the assessment
- Pass Mark: 55%
- Results are communicated immediately upon submission
Upon passing the assessment, participants will receive a certificate of completion, qualifying them to apply for Ciarb Student or Associate Membership.

Do I have to attend all Introduction Courses?
No. Ciarb offers three introduction-level courses:
- Introduction to Arbitration
- Introduction to Mediation
- Introduction to Construction Adjudication
You are welcome to take more than one, but only one assessment is required to qualify for Associate Membership.
How do I become a Ciarb Member after the course?
Upon successfully passing the online assessment, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate allows you to register as a Student Member—completely free of charge. Student membership provides access to a range of Ciarb benefits, including professional development resources, global networking events, and learning platforms.
