About the Programme and Eligibility
The standard route to CIArb membership involves attending tutorials and passing written examinations up to Module 1 level. However, it is recognized that this route may not be suitable for experienced lawyers and arbitrators who have been in active practice for three (3) years or more.
This Accelerated Route to Membership (ARM) is open to both members and non-members of the Institute who meet the following criteria:
- Experienced Arbitrators with an approved legal qualification; or
- Civil litigation lawyers with at least three years’ professional experience, including appropriate exposure to arbitration law and practice.
