The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb) Kenya Branch is pleased to announce exciting career opportunities for talented, passionate and results-oriented professionals who are eager to contribute to the growth of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Kenya.

As the leading professional body dedicated to promoting arbitration, mediation and other forms of ADR, Ciarb Kenya continues to strengthen its impact through excellence in education, professional development, research, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. In line with our Strategic Plan 2026–2030, we are expanding our team and inviting qualified candidates to join us in advancing access to justice and dispute resolution across the region.

Current Vacancies

Education, Training and Membership Officer

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a passion for education, training and member engagement. The successful candidate will coordinate the planning and delivery of training programmes, oversee membership administration and support the continued professional development of ADR practitioners.

Key requirements include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least five years’ experience in education, training or programme administration.
  • Strong organisational, communication and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of ADR will be an added advantage.

Research, Development and Innovation Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Branch’s research, publications and knowledge management initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to research on arbitration, mediation and other ADR mechanisms while supporting policy development and institutional learning.

Key requirements include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in law, social sciences, public policy or a related discipline.
  • One to three years’ experience in research, legal support or policy analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, research and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with ADR is an added advantage.

Marketing and Communications Assistant

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a creative communications professional to help strengthen the Branch’s brand visibility and promote its programmes, events and membership services across multiple platforms.

Key requirements include:

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business or a related field.
  • At least two years’ experience in marketing or communications.
  • Strong writing, digital marketing and social media skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ADR will be an added advantage.
