The CIArb Young Members Group (YMG) is the first special interest group to be launched in Kenya by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch), comprising of members of the institute who are aged 40 years and below.
Its main objective is to act as a networking platform not only for members of the institute but also for all young ADR professionals and those seeking entry into the profession. The YMG’s role includes bringing together Young Professionals and providing platforms for networking and growth.
We believe a blend of formal and informal networking events further cements the synergy necessary for a homogenous practice environment for Alternative Dispute Resolution. It is on the above premise that we have organized “The YMG Connect” an informal networking cocktail for young ADR professionals open to both its members and other interested young ADR practitioners.
In addition to this, the event seeks to:
- Provide a platform for the handover ceremony to the new YMG steering committee & Appreciation of the outgoing Committee
- Create awareness of the role of the YMG, membership, and structure.
- Create an environment for networking for young professionals.
- An unwinding opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives.
- Forge a way forward for YMG strategy and interests.
