FIDA Kenya × Ciarb Kenya — Turning Shared Purpose into Shared Action

Sometimes, professional partnerships feel less like partnerships and more like family. That was certainly the spirit of today’s engagement between FIDA Kenya and Ciarb Kenya, where two organisations united by a shared commitment to justice, equality and access to effective dispute resolution came together to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The meeting brought together Chair Emerita Jacqueline Waihenya, C.Arb and Board Member Kananu Mtea, MCIArb and was steered by Ciarb Kenya Acting CEO Evelyne Kimani, MCIArb setting the stage for an engaging and forward-looking conversation.

At the heart of the discussions was the role of Family Dispute Resolution, with participants exploring how mediation and other ADR mechanisms can provide more accessible, dignified and effective pathways for resolving family-related disputes.

The conversation also extended to mentorship, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), research, joint advocacy and the upcoming TAKUKA Conference, highlighting the many areas where FIDA Kenya and Ciarb Kenya can leverage their respective strengths and networks.

The engagement was a reminder that meaningful change is often achieved when organisations move beyond dialogue and build practical partnerships around shared objectives.

With both institutions committed to advancing access to justice and strengthening professional capacity, the next step is clear: turning shared purpose into shared action.

As the collaboration grows, FIDA Kenya and Ciarb Kenya look forward to creating opportunities that empower practitioners, strengthen ADR practice and ultimately contribute to a more accessible and responsive justice system.

Two organisations. One shared purpose. A stronger impact.
