The Rationale for the Awards

As a leading Professional Membership Organization representing the interests of Alternative Dispute Resolution, CIArb-Kenya instituted the CIARB KENYA EXCELLENCE AWARDS IN 2021. The awards seek to identify and award persons (both natural and legal) who have made outstanding contributions towards the realization of the aspirations of Article 159(2) (c) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

As a consequence, the Institute established a committee (herein referred to as the CIArb-Kenya Awards Committee) which will be charged with planning and executing every aspect that goes towards making the event a success.

Objectives of the Awards

To recognize outstanding professionals in the field of ADR
To honour exemplary contributions to the growth of ADR
To acknowledge key partners & collaborators within the field.
To award individuals, companies & other organizations committed to supporting ADR
To act as the gold standard and benchmark on commitment to the provision of ADR in Kenya.
To promote and enhance capacity building in the ADR sector by encouraging and enabling the participating stakeholders to continue discharging their ADR obligations effectively and efficiently
