This year’s CIARB Nigeria conference theme was “Back to the Basics.” It provided an opportunity for the ADR community to network and share knowledge. The CIARB Kenya branch was represented by the Institute’s Chairman, Jacqueline Waihenya – the Keynote Speaker, as well as Eunice Lumallas and Aisha Abdalla, who were also speakers at the event. Samantha Masengeli served as a co-host.
The conference focused on how to make Africa an attractive seat for arbitration. Topics discussed included the importance of judicial support for enforcing and expediting arbitration matters, as well as the need for arbitrators to maintain the highest level of integrity.
We express our gratitude to Diane and Isaiah for organizing such a successful event, and to CIARB Nigeria for inviting and including us. We look forward to participating again next year.
